I had an unexpected (but much appreciated!) day off on Friday, so I kept Gracie home from school and we went took a daytrip with some friends to Davis’ Farmland, in Sterling MA.
It’s a little over an hour away from our house, and I timed it with her morning nap, so she slept the whole way 
Sidebar: it’s pretty crazy how much stuff I needed to pack for just a few hours!!
We spent most of our time in the Animal Showcase – where all sorts of farm animals run free! We saw baby goats, chickens, lambs, alpalcas and more! We even met some friendly horses and saw some beautiful deer.
Grace was in HOG heaven 😉 It was so amazing being up close and personal with so many friendly animals. It was an absolute blast.
We had lunch – they even let you bring in your own food, so I packed Gracie’s lunch – and then we hit the Play & Spray!
It was very hot on Friday, so we changed into our swimsuits, and headed over to the splash pad to cool down. I loved that they had a toddler section for the little babies, but after about ten minutes, I could see Gracie was bored with it. So we headed over to the main splash pad, and she had a blast!
She was laughing hysterically and was so brave! At one point, she went and sat under a waterfall, and just had this huge grin on her face.
She just started really walking the last few days, and at the splash pad she was practically running!
We had such an amazing day! I’m so grateful for the flexibility to create awesome memories with Nugget!
