32 Week Bumpdate

Shirt, Motherhood for Macy’s

How far along:  32 weeks
Gender: Girl!
Weight gain: Ugh, more than I would like … almost 30lbs now!
Maternity clothes:  Oh yes, and a lot of maternity things that I thought would “grow” with me are too small! I only have a couple pairs of pants that fit, and most of my T’s are too short haha
Stretch marks: No
Belly button in or out: Out
Sleep: It’s been MUCH better this week, thank the Lord!
Best moment this week: Finishing her nursery? You can see a sneak peek in the photo above, and I am so in love with how it turned out :)
Miss anything: At this point, I feel like it’s just about survival. So while I miss a lot of things, I know we’re in the home stretch and I ‘m just trying to stay as comfortable and positive as I can. But what I would give for a margarita …..
Movement: we’ve entered an entirely new territory of movement here folks. I really think she is out of room, because her feet are usually snuggled right under my rib cage, and she loves to headbutt me in the bladder, while at the same time stretching her arms out. Also, I’m convinced she’s trying to get out through my belly button! I feel the hardest jabs and kicks right there, and I can’t figure out what the heck she is doing!
Cravings: Nothing out of the norm, and truthfully eating isn’t as much fun as it used to be! Since she has no more room, that means I barely have room to eat a normal sized meal! I usually have one decent meal at lunch, and then snack the rest of the day. Trying to eat too much now results in horrible heartburn and an overall feeling of “mehhhh” that lasts for hours.
Queasy or sick: The only time I feel queasy is when I eat too much! I got the dreaded stomach bug again this past week, soooo not fun.
Looking forward to: March feels like such a never-ending month, and it’s still winter-weather-cold so to be honest, I just want it to be April and for the temps to stay above 40 degrees!

A few photos from this week:

We’ve made the decision to cloth diaper, and I am SO excited about it! Here is half of our stash, I will be doing a post very soon!
I bought her the cutest, tiniest little Mocs from mocsbyrobin and I am so in love with them! Depending on how small she is, she may wear these home from the hospital!
My sister knows how much we are Pats fan in this house, so she had these made from Etsy and sent to our house. LOVE all of them, and I can’t wait for football season for her to wear them!
And then you have MY obsession with all things Kardashian! So when their new line of baby girls clothes was released Saturday, you bet I was there! I scooped up this adorable outfit for her to wear next spring. LOVE LOVE LOVE.

I hope that y’all had a fabulous week and are enjoying a Happy St. Patrick’s Day!!!

Weekly Eats

Week-Two

Last week’s meal planning was definitely a success! I spent a little more at the grocery store than I had planned, but we stuck to our meal ideas, and it made my life so.much.easier!

We both had the stomach bug last week, so there were two nights we had chicken soup. Since I still have the ingredients for chicken teriyaki, I moved that meal into this upcoming week. Friday night we are having company, so I’m planning on just ordering out for dinner.

Mon // Tues // Wed // Thur // Sat // Sun

My enchilada recipe is one I kind of just made up in my head and throw together. I use ground turkey (sauteed with garlic, and lots of taco-type seasonings) and I make my own enchilada sauce. Once both are ready, I mix them together and fill a bunch of tortillas. Smother them shredded cheese and more enchilada sauce and bake until bubbly. Easy peasy! I did link a similar variation above, I typically serve them with black beans and corn on the side, with rice.

My sides are pretty simple this week …. steamed broccoli and sauted green beans, some mashed potatoes, maybe some crunchy garlic bread with our soup! Mmm mmm.

On that note, Keith and I are off to enjoy this sunny Sunday and grab some lunch. It’s become our weekly Sunday lunch date, and it’s nice to get out of the house and do something :)

Sweet Baby Girl’s Shower

blogger-image-234520407
Last Saturday, March 8, our families hosted our baby shower for little girl. It was the first nice spring day in a long time, we were so thankful for the sun shining and the mid 40’s temps! My mom, Keith’s mom and stepmom, our two sisters and my girlfriend Meghan all pitched in to throw us the most perfect shower. We are so blessed to have them in our lives and I can’t wait for them to all love on and spoil baby M :)
Arriving at the venue!
One of my besties Meghan. Love her to pieces.
My younger sister, but you could probably already tell that :)
A close up of the tables and centerpieces
Yummy drink station
Our “onesie making” table! We chose three winners at the end, and I love that we have so many personalized onesies for her first year!

This little guy melts my heart. Baby Kenny, the sweetest and most lovable boy.

Our gift table display was so amazing! I loved the clothes line with the little outfits!

My husband was such a champ …. he came and stayed the whole time! I think this photo should be his new Facebook profile photo haha

Our new “human size” giraffe
I love giraffes and have always said that when I had a baby, I wanted this for the nursery. My mother-in-law knew this, and bought it at a boutique in town. I’m so excited to finally have it! Hopefully it doesn’t scare the baby :)

We were so blessed by all our friends and family who came to celebrate with us, and who sent us gifts. We were completely blown away by people’s generosity, and there are very few things that we still need to pick up for the baby. She received more clothes and shoes than she will probably ever be able to use, but that’s ok with me because she will be the best dressed baby in town!

Her glider was delivered today, so as soon as we set it up I promise I will do a nursery tour post! I am so excited to share the final results :) I also promise to do a registry recap on the things we chose and registered for, and why!
