Five on Friday

This has been quite the week, so here are my random thoughts and all I have to say is TGIF!!!

1. I cleaned out my email inbox and finally decided to unsubscribe from the dozens of useless emails I get on a daily basis! Anyone else have an inbox that looked like this?

2. I made the decision to close three store credit cards. I’ve had them for a really long time, and I’m a little nervous that it might negatively affect my credit, but I just don’t need the temptation! I really don’t need to be using credit cards for anything.

3. Each week, I’ve been making little purchases for Gracie’s birthday party. I’m trying not to go overboard, but my gosh there are just so many cute things out there!!

Can you stand the cuteness?? Source

4. Two episodes in,  and I’m hooked on the new season of Southern Charm. Bravo really knows how to reel you in! I’m pretty much obsessed with the South and would die to live in SC! Although what is it with their names? Whitney is a boy and Landon is a girl – throws me off a little bit! Haha!

5.Here’s my “mom story” of the week!  I’ve been fighting the tail end of this sinus infection, and last night all I wanted was to go to sleep. I gave Gracie an early dinner and bath and then off to bed she went. I had a quick dinner and took a shower. I was still in the bathroom when I heard her crying. Then I hear her full pitched SCREAM. I run in (still in a robe with soaking wet hair) and pick her up and she instantly projectile vomits – all over the floor, herself and of course, me. I’m trying to clean her up and calm her down, while Keith tries to clean up the carpet and keep Gunner from eating baby puke. Yuck. Finally, she’s settled and asleep – and I realize that I have puke in my hair. And the toilet is clogged because Keith threw all the paper towels in the toilet. So I did what any other mama would do – washed my hair again and poured myself a drink. And watched another episode of Southern Charm. Sleep is overrated right?!

Happy Friday friends!!

5 Favorite Instagram Shops

If you’ve never used Instagram to purchase things, you are missing out! Or maybe not, seeing as how I spend way too much buying things … but how could I resist the cuteness??

These are my top five favorite shops – I’ve purchased from all of these (except one – which will be my next purchase!) and I’ve had great experiences with all of them!

One} Twinkle Twinkle lil Jar – I bought a mug around Christmas that says “Wifey & Mama” and I LOVE it. Then again, I love anything that is sparkly :) She takes custom orders too! These are a great gift idea for a new mom, or anyone really!

Instagram handle is @twinkletwinkleliljar I love the photos she posts!

Two} Shelby Chic Boutique: I LOVE these sparkly headbands! Recently she has started branching out and selling leg warmers and bloomers, all with her signature “sparkle” bow. I purchased a matching mama+mini set when Grace was first born :)

Three} Little Miss Athena – this is BY FAR, my favorite shop to purchase Gracie’s headbands from! Chances are, any bow on my child’s head came from this shop. Her prices are reasonable, shipping is fast and the quality is superb.

Four} Jennifer Ann Style – the original personalized name blankets! I purchased two of these for Gracie to come home from the hospital with – I love how soft and pretty they are. These also make a great gift, but plan ahead! Shipping takes one month exactly.

Five} Loved by Hannah and Eli – this is the shop that I have not yet purchased from, but my gosh, I am dying for a “Mama Bear” shirt!! They also have different variations of baby “bear” shirts; Auntie Bear, Papa Bear, ect. These styles sell out fast, but she is constantly restocking.

So there you have them! What are your favorite small shops?

Grace {Ten Months}

IMG_1137.JPG

This little girl is a bullet. You should see her fly across the room – she is determined and focused and does it all with the cutest little smirk on her face! This month she started pulling herself up to a standing position, and is learning to balance herself – I think she will be taking her first steps in the next month!

This was the month she cut her second tooth, starting sleeping through the night (yay!) and started eating real table food. She started having “stranger danger” and gets extremely shy around new people. She is a total mama’s girl, and loves to snuggle. She lets me know when she is ready for a nap by crawling over to my feet, and pulling on my legs. Once I pick her up, she snuggles her face in my shoulder until I bring her to her room. She is a pro at putting herself to sleep, and is a girl obsessed with her pacifier.

I know that these days are fleeting and one day soon, she won’t want to be held and snuggled anymore. So even if it means being late for work, I cherish those snuggle moments with her.

“I got snacks, you got snacks?”

She has the cutest facial expressions and lets you know with such a fierce look, if she does not like something you are saying!

She weighs 19 pounds, and is wearing mostly 12-18 month clothing (she’s a long string bean!). Her favorite foods are yogurt, watermelon, grilled cheese, peas, green beans, pancakes, eggs – this girl will eat anything we put in front of her!  She says “Mama, Dada, Hi & Up”. She is almost blowing kisses – right now she just smacks her lips at you – cutest thing ever. Her favorite things are Gunner, anything with strings/zippers, taking baths, and her binkie. She has figured out how to turn her toys on, and as soon as they start playing music she bounces up and down and claps her hands.

Words cannot express the fierce love I have for this little girl. She is our whole world. Happy Ten Months sweet baby girl! We love you to the moon and back :)
