Weekend Snaps

My weekends feel especially long, since Gracie and I are off from school/work Friday-Monday, and we definitely make the most of those four days!

Friday, Gracie started her second season of dance! I’m a little unsure if she’s going to end up loving dance, but we’re going to keep going until she says otherwise!

Friday night, I hosted a “sign” workshop. These parties are becoming so popular, and they are so much fun!

Saturday morning, we woke up and went to breakfast and then checked out the planes taking off and landing. While we were admiring the planes through the fence, a nice man came up to us and asked if we wanted to check one of the planes out in person. My child was in heaven. She LOVES planes! She was thrilled to get to sit in it and pretend to “fly” it. She told us she was going to the beach – sounds good to me 🙂 He even gave her a “wing” pin to commemorate the occasion! It was so cute, and very sweet of this man to take a few minutes to make her day.

Sunday, we went to check out a local sunflower farm. I LOVE this place. The sunflowers are only in full bloom for a few days, and it seemed like everyone else had the same idea as us, but it was so worth it! They are stunning.

I really think that September might be my favorite month. It’s still warm, but not humid, there is a bit of crispness to the air and I swear, the sky is just so much bluer.

Monday, we wrapped our long weekend with a second dance class. Gracie started a Hip Hop Tumbling class, and it was adorable. She loves to jump and run and dance around, so I think this class is going to be perfect for her!

After dance, we went to two different playgrounds. Trying to soak in the nice weather while we can!

Tomorrow is back to the grind …. school for her, and work for me! I feel pretty lucky to be able to work part time and be home with her part time, it’s really the best of both worlds <3

Happy Tuesday, friends!

XO

  1. I absolutely love September because everything feels new and exciting. Also, my daughter was MEH about dance her first two years and by year three she was totally into it, loved every second.
