We had such a fun and busy weekend! It was also record breakingly cold here but we still managed to not go stir crazy
Saturday: We celebrated my father-in-laws 60th birthday with a big party at their house. Gracie is lucky to have some great (second) cousins that are close in age, and she loves being with the big kids! Not to mention that she’s fairly obsessed with her Grampy.
Sunday: Valentine’s Day and the absolute coldest day of the year. Temps were 0 degrees with a negative wind chill. HOLY COLD. We decided to brave the freezing cold temps anyway, bundled up and headed to SkyZone. SkyZone is one of Gracie’s favorite places on earth – this kid loves to jump. “jumpy jumpy” is what she says over and over, all day long
We stopped for a quick lunch at Sylvan Street Grille where Gracie proceeded to be quite the ham coloring and playing peek-a-boo with her menu! She’s always so entertaining wherever we go!
Monday: Hallelujah for a day off! I love having a bonus day with my family. It has been over four years since I’ve had one of these “smaller” holidays off. I’ve always worked for a company that never gave us time off, and now that I’m the boss 😉 I love being able to make my own hours and schedule!
We took Gracie to an indoor playspace called Vinkari Safari and she had a blast.
It got mobbed really fast, so we left a little before lunch and stopped at Chipotle.
Right after naptime, the smoke alarms went off in our entire building. I have never felt so panicked! We grabbed what we could and ran out of the building. Poor Gracie had no shoes, Gunner had no leash –so we sat in the car with the heat blasting while fire trucks and the fire chief showed up. After about 30 minutes, the building was cleared for us to go back inside. Thankfully, it was just a sprinkler malfunction in the basement.
It was quite the eventful end to our long holiday weekend!! I hope y’all had a fabulous weekend!
So fun! I am seeing more and more of mama in Gracie girl. 😉 (And I can’t believe how dark her hair is getting!) xoxo
