Wow it has been a long time since I’ve done a weekend recap!

My obsession with Lilly for Target continues. I have been religiously checking my local Targets for returns and was richly rewarded on Friday! At 8am, there was an umbrella – something I was dying to get my hands on! At 5pm (yes I went twice in one day), there was a hammock! Both of these items were nearly impossible to get.

Friday night we booked our vacation to Hawaii! I am so unbelievably excited to be going HOME and taking Gracie to meet my grandparents. We are going for ten days in September, and it cannot come soon enough!

Saturday we did some yard work and a little lunching. We put together her new slide (a birthday gift from her grandparents) and she spent hours climbing in and out of my new chair.

On Sunday, we went to visit my brother-in-law’s new apartment that he got with his girlfriend (who we love and adore by the way!). We had dinner with his family, and Gracie harassed their new puppy, Tuukka.

 Monday we went downtown for the Memorial Day Parade. We went with our neighbors and got a prime spot for the parade. Gracie was more interested in the other people and dogs, then the actual parade but that’s to be expected I guess

        We love long, three day weekends and every second of family time but none of them would be possible without the sacrifices our servicemen and women have, and continue to make.
