Gracie’s First Easter Basket

I remember last year when I was pregnant with Gracie, I thought for sure that she was going to be born before Easter. Easter was late, on April 19, and I couldn’t imagine still being pregnant. So I did what any other normal pregnant woman does – went out and bought her a Newborn Easter outfit and basket!

Sadly, April 19 came and went – with me still very much pregnant – and so I returned the adorable newborn dress. That makes Easter this year, Gracie’s very last first holiday.

In typical female fashion, she owns several Easter dresses of which I cannot decide what she will wear. You never know with the weather around here – we could have snow, or 70 degrees. But hey, at least she is prepared :)

I had a lot of fun picking out items for her Easter basket, and I kept it pretty simple since I doubt she will really understand the concept this year :)

I chose a personalized basket from Pottery Barn Kids. I then added a bathing suit, headband, pacifiers, a stuffed bunny, a sippy cup and some snacks. I really wanted to get her the Pottery Barn Kids Anywhere chair, but I think I will wait until her birthday for that!

5 Favorite Instagram Shops

If you’ve never used Instagram to purchase things, you are missing out! Or maybe not, seeing as how I spend way too much buying things … but how could I resist the cuteness??

These are my top five favorite shops – I’ve purchased from all of these (except one – which will be my next purchase!) and I’ve had great experiences with all of them!

One} Twinkle Twinkle lil Jar – I bought a mug around Christmas that says “Wifey & Mama” and I LOVE it. Then again, I love anything that is sparkly :) She takes custom orders too! These are a great gift idea for a new mom, or anyone really!

Instagram handle is @twinkletwinkleliljar I love the photos she posts!

Two} Shelby Chic Boutique: I LOVE these sparkly headbands! Recently she has started branching out and selling leg warmers and bloomers, all with her signature “sparkle” bow. I purchased a matching mama+mini set when Grace was first born :)

Three} Little Miss Athena – this is BY FAR, my favorite shop to purchase Gracie’s headbands from! Chances are, any bow on my child’s head came from this shop. Her prices are reasonable, shipping is fast and the quality is superb.

Four} Jennifer Ann Style – the original personalized name blankets! I purchased two of these for Gracie to come home from the hospital with – I love how soft and pretty they are. These also make a great gift, but plan ahead! Shipping takes one month exactly.

Five} Loved by Hannah and Eli – this is the shop that I have not yet purchased from, but my gosh, I am dying for a “Mama Bear” shirt!! They also have different variations of baby “bear” shirts; Auntie Bear, Papa Bear, ect. These styles sell out fast, but she is constantly restocking.

So there you have them! What are your favorite small shops?

{Pinspired} Yogurt Melts

One of Gracie’s favorite snacks is yogurt snacks – but at $3-4/bag, it gets pricey. And, there are a ton of ingredients – half of which I have no idea what they are.

Gerber Yogurt Melts

While home with her on Monday I decided to try making some myself, and they were surprisingly very easy! I followed these easy steps.

DIY Yogurt Melts!  Once they were on the tray, I popped them in the freezer for a couple hours, and then transferred them to a ziploc baggie! I keep them in the freezer so they don’t melt, and Gracie LOVES these. I tried a couple, and I have to say – they are pretty yummy!

I can’t wait to try them with fruit and veggies mixed in, and I think these would be perfect on a hot summer day :)

Linking up with Annie and Natalie for Thoughts for Thursday!
